Dolland - Hand Held Telescope - 1840English, circa, 1840, signed, “Dolland London Day or Night”, in script, brass construction, full draw at 41”, collapsed, 14”, three draws plus a mahogany main barrel and extend-able brass shade, 2 ½” diameter. The telescope features a four element erecting system with an achromatic objective with an original removable lens shade with slide cap dust cover. This telescope is complete, original and includes an original cabin case. The case measures 20” x 4” x 3 ½” and exhibits a fine folding brass handle.
